My girlfriends and I are stunned at your loss as well as ours. We get together to play poker every 6 months and always include a night at your fabulous restaurant. In fact we were just there for my friend Jaye’s 50th on 6/10 and we have a wonderful picture to remember it by. Build fast – you will be missed until then.

We’re so happy to have hosted your birthday celebrations. Unfortunately we do not anticipate being open by December. We will do what we can, but so far all estimates are hovering around the 1 year mark.

Oh, my! I was getting ready to make reservations–my friends and I always include a dinner at Ocean Crest when we visit the coast. We’ve celebrated my birthday there for the last several years. We will make sure to take in a visit in December when you re-open

Thank you Carol. We have been able to recover most personal items that matter most to us. Thanks to our great guests, we have many great memories that can never be destroyed by the fire. When I read your words I feel as though our loss is minimal. We have touched so many lives over the years, creating memories for our guests, marriage proposals, proms, military homecomings, weddings, honeymoons, birthdays, wakes, and the list goes on. You all invited us to your special occasions, and we thank you.

To the Curtright family and wonderful staff at the ocean crest.
We have just returned from our summer vacation, the highlight of which was once again dining at your wonderful restaurant. Unfortunately the next morning we woke up to the fire that destroyed such a special place.
You have always treated us so very well and we are so sorry for your loss.
We wish you all the best, and we hope to stay and dine with you again soon.

I cannot begin to say how sad I am for your loss! Over the past 45 years my family and I have enjoyed meals there when we stayed and when we were just passing through. Let us know how we can help. I understand the Westport Winery is doing a special and I will contribute through that effort.

Great News! We were able to recover grandpa Jess Curtright’s Flag and War Medals. Those items were our main concern for recovery in order to continue honoring his memory.
