Just wanted to send support and condolences to my favorite resort. I’ve been coming there for many years, as did my late parents. I can’t wait to come back. I’m sure you know you have a zillion well wishers out here and that we’re pulling for you. Hope to see you very soon. In the meantime, I’ve sent perhaps a dozen people who also fell madly in love with the place.

Did they ever figure out the cause of the fire?
Hello Frank,
They never did determine the cause of the fire officially. I’m convinced that it was probably electrical. I’ve tried thinking of any other explanation and just cannot come up with anything else.
It breaks my heart to see the pictures of the demolition. We own The Love Shack in Moclips and have been coming to the Ocean Crest for 15 years regularly. We jokingly call the resort our annex since it’s where so many of our friends stay when they visit. We look forward to watching the new restaurant emerge as a Phoenix from the ashes. And we also can’t wait to come for brunch and order a Frittata and muffins – yum!
